Reading People by Anne Bogel

Author, blogger, and podcaster, Anne Bogel shares with readers insights she has learned about different personality types and how that can affect our relationships and how we live, work, and love. Each chapter focuses on different personality frameworks, such as Myers-Briggs, the Enneagram, introverts vs. extroverts, highly sensitive people, and the five love languages. Anne gives an overview of each and also gives helpful advice for how each system can improve your life and your personal growth. She helps the reader to understand themselves and others around them by sharing personal stories, giving data and facts about each personality type, and offering practical advice.

What I Loved: I have always loved personality tests and this book gives an in-depth description of each test, what your results mean, and how you can use those tests to improve your life. I learned so much from reading this book. It helped me understand my friends, family, coworkers, and people I interact with daily.

What I Didn’t Love: This was a little content heavy, each chapter shares a lot of information about each personality type which I found super helpful, but it wasn’t a book I could read through quickly For me, reading a chapter or two each day worked best so I wasn’t overloaded by new information :)

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5

This book is for the one who: enjoys personality tests, enjoys learning about people and what makes people different and unique, and wants to learn about different personalities
