Summit Lake by Charlie Donlea
My second Charlie Donlea novel and he has quickly become one of my favorite authors. I love his writing style and the way he draws you into the characters. This story is about the murder of Becca, a law student and the reporter, Kelsey Castle, who is assigned to her case. The murder took place on Summit Lake, a beautiful place in the Blue Ridge Mountains. As Kelsey digs into the case she feels a connection to Becca and believes it can lead her out of her own dark past.
What I Loved: fast-paced and suspenseful, once I got to the second half of the book I couldn’t put it down, I also loved how each chapter switches back and forth from the past and present, Becca’s story before her murder, and Kelsey’s journey to find her killer!
What I Didn’t Love: nothing!
My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
This book is for the one who: enjoys a suspenseful thriller that includes the story being told from the past and the present
