Gone Tonight by Sarah Pekkanen

The main characters in this book are a mother and daughter, Ruth and Catherine. They live quietly and are always on the run, frequently moving and not putting down roots. When Catherine starts to discover some cracks in her mothers story she starts to investigate and discover secrets about her mother’s past. What is her mother trying to hide and why?

What I loved: fast-paced read, kept me interested to find out what the truth was, loved how each chapter went back and forth from Ruth and Catherine’s POV

What I Didn’t Love: a few of the scenarios were a little hard-to-believe and a little too convenient, but I just reminded myself…this is a story

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5

This book is for the one who: enjoys a story about a mother-daughter relationship and the lies they will keep to keep each other safe
