Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak
Mallory Quinn just got out of rehab and takes a job as a babysitter for the Maxwells to watch their five-year old son, Teddy. Teddy is a sweet boy who is always drawing in his sketchbook. One day Mallory discovers one of Teddy’s drawings, a man dragging a woman’s dead body through the forest. And this is just the beginning. His drawings become more frightening and disturbing and seem to be telling the story of a woman who was murdered. Mallory sets out to decipher the drawings and what someone is trying to tell her through the disturbing images.
What I Loved: The author included pictures throughout the story, which are Teddy’s drawings, I loved that the author included these illustrations, it added a nice visual for the reader.
What I Didn’t Love: This book had some supernatural aspects to the book and I typically don’t really love anything supernatural, however the book as a whole was so good I didn’t mind.
My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
